However when the software used DX8 or OpenGL the performance of the Gigabyte GeForce PCX 5900 was fairly good for a video card in it's price range. 3dmark is a good indicator for future performance of the Gigabyte GeForce PCX 5900 and using 3dmark 2005 the Gigabyte GeForce PCX 5900 was 58% slower than Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT and with 3dmark 2006 it was a very poor 67% slower. With some ganes software there is an option to use DX8 instead of DX9 and with the Gigabyte GeForce PCX 5900 you should always select DX8!"
