AMD Athlon XP 2500

AMD Athlon XP 2500

"The AMD Athlon XP 2500 type Barton is a Socket A Processor operating at 1800Mhz, has a Front Side Bus speed of 166Mhz and 512K L2 Cache. The AMD Athlon XP 2500 supports MMX+, 3DNow+ and SSE."

FEATURED REVIEW

"The Athlon XP 2500 delivered a nice performance increase over the Athlon XP 1700 with the synthetic benchmarks. The Quake3 result was especially impressive and the Athlon XP 2500 delivered a huge 49 extra frames per second. However the video card used for this review the GeForce FX 5200 was unable to deliver a high level of performance with UT2003 but still managed an extra 14fps with the botmatch demo. 3dmark 2001 showed a large increase of 2032 points which is very impressive and 3dmark 2003 increased by 105 points. The reason 3dmark 2003 didn't increase by much is because it tests the video card."
