AMD Athlon II X2 240"AMD Athlon II X2 240 type Regor is a Socket AM2+ Processor operating at 2800Mhz, has a Front Side Bus speed of 400Mhz and 2 x 1MB L2 Cache. The AMD Athlon II X2 240 supports MMX+, 3DNow+, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4A and x86-64."
FEATURED REVIEW"The AMD Athlon II X2 240 performs very well easily beating the AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 with all of the Software we used for Benchmarking. The AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 was the fastest Socket 939 Processor which was ever released and still holds up well even today. The Synthetic Benchmarks were easily won by the AMD Athlon II X2 240 thanks to the 2.8Ghz. However the Games Benchmarks were much closer because they are usually as much Video Card limited as Processor Limited. Thankfully the AMD Athlon II X2 240 and AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 are more than enough for the games we used for testing. We highly recommend the AMD Athlon II X2 240 which is a great Processor which costs under $100 which makes it a fantastic buy!"
