The AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 was the fastest Socket 939 Processor which was ever released and still holds up well even today. The Synthetic Benchmarks were easily won by the AMD Athlon II X2 240 thanks to the 2.8Ghz. However the Games Benchmarks were much closer because they are usually as much Video Card limited as Processor Limited.
